The Menopause Weight Loss Struggle

"When Menopause hit me, I gained 20 lbs and I didn't eat junk!'
The most important part of my coaching women in menopause is to produce real body transformation results. The weight loss struggle is nothing new, most women have been on a yoyo diet routine for years or decades.
The body weight struggle is rarely new and the need for building a healthy nutrition and exercise program still remains.
“I’m in a caloric deficit and I never get lean no matter how good I'm on my diet, my doctor says it's hormonal and I need to go on HRT or I'll lose my muscle!"
"I haven't eaten anything off my diet plan for years. When Menopause hit me everything I put in my mouth showed up on my belly. I am sticking to 400 calories a day and I never cheat. I have gained 15 lbs and I know this is because I'm menopausal. I can't lose weight!"
“Everyone's on semaglutide and hormone replacement therapy, my doctor swears by biohacking and wants me to try testosterone, he says mine is low and I suffer from inevitable menopause fat gain around my waist"
"My cycle is shorter now and I feel so tired and moody. I just want to feel young again so I can work out like I used to!"
Menopause weight loss is 100% possible
Can you relate to these typical concerns for women over 40?
Right now the focus in medical marketing is targeting women in their upper 30's to mid 60's.
This is an utmost lucrative demographic to cash in on: everyone's feeling old, weak and demotivated.
It's a fabulous opportunity to offer a Menopause solution to address the changes during menopause you experience.
The constant blaming on your hormones, particularly estrogen, makes you believe you should either lower it completely or replace it to maintain your youth...
Now to balance your hormones you're advised to add a little bit of testosterone....because your free testosterone results come in a bit too low and you have symptoms like lack of sex drive and muscle weakness....! Now, how long have you been training to build muscle...? Because I know my clients and most end up depressed and feeling discouraged, there is no training routine at all for months or years.
In menopause or not, you can't build muscle without training your muscles!
There are other hormones coming into play, the thyroid, DHEA and Progesterone mainly, as well as insulin and cortisol, Growth Hormone & Insulin-like growth factor etc etc, but my point with sharing my opinion is to help you keep it simple and stay real.
Would you succeed at transforming your body after all these years with the right kit of pharmaceuticals so you can keep paying up for what usually turns out to be a waste of time and money?
Menopause & your body
Hormones are messengers, they can not produce any fat gain or build muscle for you without your actions and choices.
Your healthy eating and training routine is probably not consistent, you just want a few days out of the week and 'free on weekends' to be considered consistent.
Your body needs more time to lose a few pounds of fat than 2-4 weeks, this is true not only during menopause.
Your fatigue, brain fog and feeling blue might have to do with what you're doing in your daily life. You might be bored at work, not being in love with your partner or feeling stuck in a life situation that makes you depressed.
Naturally you'll be looking for a solution, maybe a cleanse or a detox kit, and what do you find promoted on all social media platforms and on google ads? Menopause weight loss pills.
You might have forgotten that your 'erratic weight gain' has always been your weight problem, and you have not mastered your rhythm of hunger and appetite yet.
You might compare yourself with younger women or your younger self and believe you should somehow show you 'still got it, still as strong as ever'...
I know you hate that I'm questioning the menopause story you're sharing with people who don't care about your wellbeing, they just see here's a stressed out woman in menopause who will pay big bucks to get on a treatment plan.
The treatment plan of hormones will not take away the necessity to master your nutrition.
Adding testosterone will not fix a low sex drive that stems from feeling body conscious, feeling unattractive or having no sexual attraction for your chosen partner.
Injecting peptides for life without having diabetes? Well, imagine how that will be to do for life! Traveling with syringes and needles and keep up that daily regimen and here you are struggling with just drink your Greens...!
Most overweight women I know and have worked with naturally have insulin resistance, it means your cells are not responding to the anabolic hormone insulin that helps maintain a normal blood sugar level.
The resistance to insulin pushes the pancreas to release more insulin to force your body to accept more fuel and put it into storage for later, in fat cells primarily in this case.
And here comes another favorite of yours as the Menopause cure and savior..The keto diet or the carnivore diet!
A keto diet is designed to reduce your carb intake to minimal, so does following a carnivore diet.
Your body naturally increases its sensitivity to insulin when you start following a consistent diet plan that keeps you in a caloric deficit.
Without a caloric deficit consistently, which means weeks, months or even years depending on the totality of your excess body fat weight, you won't get rid of the body fat.
Did you read what I wrote here? I did not write 'following a keto diet results in a healthy body', I wrote adhering to a caloric deficit is key here.
This is a big difference!
You can be in a caloric surplus on any diet, including a keto diet or on the carnivore diet.

How? A few mishaps or treats a week, perhaps just a keto chocolate bar twice a week and perhaps an extra little nothing big indulgence on Sunday afternoon watching football, is all it takes to create a surplus of energy so your body has no reason to get leaner.
When you’re unaware of the fact you’re not even in a caloric deficit it’s easy to BELIEVE menopause is the cause of your “stubborn body fat”.
I know, I know, we all want to find the culprit for our body weight problem, so we can escape the need for self-awareness and self-observation of habits, patterns and what story our minds make up to avoid having to be honest with ourselves.
I tell you all this to help you become your own best friend and not feel pressured to resist the nature of life.
Aging well means taking care of your health by living a healthy lifestyle before, during and after menopause, superstar!
Aging well as a woman means accepting that it's unnatural to remain young and unstoppable forever.
You can't stop aging no matter what you do, but you can care for your self with a mindful and conscious nutrition approach as well as committing to exercise that fits you right now, right here.
When you love your diet you won't leave your diet
